Major Shift Alert
Do you feel it? Yesterday, a major astrological shift took place that promises to change the world as we know it. A few weeks ago, someone on Instagram posted a reel in which she posed the question of what we will do when "it" finally happens. I, for one, will pop some Champagne. And with yesterday's shift, I'll be putting a good bottle in the fridge to be ready.
The "it" is, of course, highly personal. It could a longed-for shift in our shared, outer reality or a more individual one like a job offer, a pregnancy, a divorce decree. Something with a distinct Before and After. Well, get ready...
At 6:33 p.m. PT on February 3, Uranus – the Great Awakener – stationed direct at 27° 27′ after a five-month retrograde in Taurus, marking a significant period of reassessment around physical embodiment and our sense of safety in the world. Uranus has been traveling through Taurus since 2018. After these final three degrees in Taurus, Uranus won't return to the sign of Taurus for another 84 years.
These last three degrees are likely to bring sudden, major changes that connect to themes unfolding in our individual and collective realities since 2018. Uranus doesn't mess around – and its final push across the finish line into Gemini on April 25 will likely have us looking around at a world that has changed in one way or another.
As an astrologer on the site Moon Omens writes, "As the planet of awakening, individuation and liberation shifts ... the transformation that has been unfolding internally during the past months will become visible and generate tangible external changes."
Depending on the specific placement of Uranus in your natal chart, the activation potential of this transit completion may express itself in different ways but it will most certainly bring about change. To illustrate using the example of a public figure: Donald Trump was born with Uranus in Gemini in the 11th house. Transiting Uranus has been near his Midheaven (related to career and reputation) since July of 2023 and is about to enter into his 11th house where personal vision meets the collective. As Uranus completes its passage through Taurus and prepares to enter Gemini, this transit underscores how personal disruption at key chart angles can coincide with moments when private volatility becomes undeniably public.
